Hey there,

I’m Eric, founder of 123 Fun, the home of 123 Trivia, 123 Bingo, and TriviAmore, and I just wanted to say: welcome to The Fun Feed!

This blog is something I’ve wanted to launch for a while. Not to bombard you with self-promotion (though yes, please do come to trivia), but to share some of the ideas, stories, and behind-the-scenes weirdness that makes 123 Trivia what it is.

If you’ve been to one of our events, you know: we’re not your average trivia night. We like things fast, funny, fair, and just the right amount of chaotic. If you haven’t played yet, this blog is a good way to get a feel for the vibe — and maybe learn a few tips before diving in.

So what’s The Fun Feed for?

It’s where we’ll post weekly, bite-sized reads that take you inside the world of trivia; whether you’re a player, a host, a bar owner, or just someone who loves a good niche fact. You’ll get a mix of behind-the-scenes stories, advice on running better events, as well as spotlights on players and venues. To kick things off, here’s a preview of what you’ll see in the first few posts:

“What to Expect at 123 Trivia”

A quick primer on how our trivia nights actually work — multiple games, multiple chances to win, no spelling required, and yes, there are prizes (and stickers). It’s a game show in a bar!

“App vs. Pen & Paper: Why We Went Digital”

A breakdown of why we ditched answer sheets in favor of our custom app. Hint: no spelling errors, no cheating, and no hosts squinting at your handwriting wondering if you meant “Geneva” or “Genovia.”

“How 123 Trivia Came to Be”

This one gets a little personal — the story of how I tried to launch a game show and somehow ended up running bar trivia in three cities. It’s about scrappy beginnings, some very enthusiastic regulars, and why we built the 123 Fun app in the first place.

“Trivia Is Nothing Without Great Questions”

Ever wonder how we write and balance questions for all kinds of crowds? We pull back the curtain on our 25,000+ question database, how we keep things fresh, and why your niche knowledge of 2000s reality TV does matter.

My goal is to keep each post light, useful, and fun enough that you’ll actually want to read them. If you’ve got a topic you want us to cover, such as team name strategies, or how to host a private trivia night without losing friends — shoot it our way! Thanks for reading and being part of this growing little world we’re building. Whether you’re a regular or just trivia-curious, we’re glad you’re here.

See you in the game,

Eric
