From One Night to Hundreds: The Growth of 123 Trivia

When I started 123 Trivia in 2022, the goal was simple: create a better version of trivia night. Faster-paced, easier to run, more fun to play, and powered by technology instead of paper and pens. What I didn’t expect was how quickly it would take off, or how much ground we’d cover in just a few short years.

What began as an idea for a game show has evolved into a growing network of trivia nights, bingo games, and even speed-dating events across multiple cities. And 2025 was our biggest year yet.

Here’s a quick look at how far we’ve come.

Year-by-Year Growth

2022
We started small, hosting 32 trivia nights that year — mostly in NYC, all run by me. It was hands-on, trial-by-fire, and the perfect way to refine the format and build our foundation.

2023
With strong word of mouth and a growing network of venues, we scaled up to 200 trivia nights. We brought on new hosts, expanded into more neighborhoods, and laid the groundwork for the 123 Fun app.

2024
This was a breakout year. We ran 406 trivia nights and added 22 bingo nights to the mix. We also debuted TriviAmoré, and began piloting new cities outside NYC. The team expanded, and the system we built proved it could scale.

2025
The numbers tell the story:

  • 469 trivia nights

  • 43 bingo nights

  • 12 TriviAmoré events

  • 21 partner venues

  • 25 active hosts

We added more structure to our host training program, optimized the app to make games smoother and faster, and built deeper relationships with venue partners in three major cities.

Why It Works

This kind of growth only happens when the product clicks. Trivia is just the hook — what keeps people coming back is the energy in the room, the pacing of the games, the quality of the questions, and the sense of community. We’ve focused relentlessly on making every part of the experience smooth, fair, and engaging for players, hosts, and venues alike.

The 123 Fun app has been key. It lets us deliver a consistent, fast-paced game while removing the friction and guesswork from running trivia. Hosts get to focus on entertaining, not scorekeeping. Players get instant feedback and a clean, modern experience. And venues get events that run on time and bring people back week after week.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We’re planning for even more growth this year: new venues, new cities, new hosts, and new game formats. The goal isn’t just more nights — it’s better nights. Better experiences, better content, better tools. We’ll continue building around what’s worked, testing what’s next, and evolving 123 Trivia into something even bigger.

If you’ve played, hosted, or partnered with us, thank you for being part of it. If you haven’t yet, now’s a great time to jump in.

Let’s make 2026 the most fun year yet!
